“It was cool seeing a fan get into it and protect the team,” Fan stops on-field fight, gets all the props from 49ers Deebo Samuel

The 49ers have started the season with back-to-back wins, with a grinding 30-23 win over divisional rival the Rams, in a tense encounter.

The battle for top spot in the division became heated and when 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel got into a skirmish with Rams CB Derion Kendrick, a San Francisco fan appeared out of nowhere to break up the scuffle.

The supporter, wearing a combination of a 49er"s jersey and a LA Lakers basketball cap, was exercising his right to be a pacifist, and diffused a potentially combustible moment in a fraught game.

The Niner fan got SoFi Stadium rocking with his beatnik moves and even Deebo was impressed. "[Kendrick just ran up and kind of head-butted me out of nowhere … I was like ‘what’s going?’"

"But it was cool seeing a fan get into it and protect the team as well," said Deebo on the surreal incident.

Brock Purdy had another decent outing with the 49ers QB throwing 206 yards, going for 17-25.

Running back Christian McCaffrey enjoyed a game high 20 carries, picking up 116 yards and a touchdown.

In another surreal moment, the Rams kicked a bizarre field goal to beat the clock. They had no chance of winning, but with that kick they managed to cover the spreads, with the LSA team going into the game as 7.5 underdogs.

Former Falcons QB Kurt Benkert said," Sean McVay kicking a field goal to the cover the spread is wild."

What an interesting week 2 encounter. In week three the 49ers host the Giants who just pipped the Cardinals by three points, while the Rams will duke it out with the Bengals.
