Sportscaster and radio host Rich Eisen delivered a side-splitting Taylor Swift-themed jab aimed directly at Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during a recent live commentary of the NFL GameDay.
Eisen, with his signature wit, weaved Taylor Swift’s lyrics seamlessly into his commentary.
He quipped, “Well, even though that bone bruise and the injury, one would think, is Delicate, he’s been able to Shake It Off. I should have known that All Too Well that you would not know.”
The references kept coming as Eisen continued:
“Well, I mean, you saw it on Thursday night when Travis Kelsey wasn’t in. It left a Blank Space. But I think he returns today and proves to be the Anti-Hero. All right, there are the Chiefs. Kelsey coming out. August is over, Now, September.”
The humor and cleverness of the commentary didn’t go unnoticed by Travis Kelce himself.
The 33-year-old NFL star, who has recently been linked to Taylor Swift in various rumors, gave a nod to Eisen’s witty delivery, commenting:
“Well played, well played.”
In an interview with NFL+ host Andrew Siciliano, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce finally broke his silence on the persistent rumors linking him to pop sensation Taylor Swift.
Speculation about a potential connection between the two has been swirling for months.
The interview, which took place on September 15, saw Kelce tackle the Taylor Swift question head-on.
He began by acknowledging the ongoing chatter surrounding his personal life, stating, “I’m not gonna talk about my personal life.”
Kelce then turned his attention to the pop culture publishers, saying:
“I know what you writers wanna hear, and you wanna hear more about that, and I’m not gonna give you anything.”
On Sunday, Travis Kelce made a comeback for the Kansas City Chiefs in their 2023 NFL regular season opener against the Detroit Lions.
Previously, the star tight end had been sidelined for the Chiefs’s season opener due to a hyperextended knee suffered during practice.
