The former Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb reveals Jalen Hurts has been playing at 65-70% because of a shoulder injury from last season
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, McNabb claims that Hurts was not playing at his 100% because of a shoulder injury suffered in the last season.
Update: Former #Eagles QB Donovan McNabb said he talked to QB Jalen Hurts and Hurts was playing at "probably only around 65% to 70%" because of a shoulder injury from last season.

He said to Sports Illustrated,
“Hurts is wired differently. As I asked him, like, Jalen, are you healthy?”
“He answered, You know, bro. And so I asked, are you playing? He responded, What do you think?”
“He’s like Sometimes you gotta just do the job yourself, I told him, Good. Because if you weren’t approaching that way, I was gonna call you soft.”
McNabb said even with the shoulder injury which Hurts suffered last December, he pulled it out for his team winning the first two playoff games.
He added,
“I am telling you, Hurts is wired differently”
Even though Hurts has been playing only 70% which McNabb claims he has shown he can overcome with resilience. He has helped to lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl, where he showed a remarkable performance.
It also has proved the Philadelphia team can be a very good team for some time and a future franchise, especially with Hurts under center.
In last season, Hurts recorded a career-high as he threw 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions, also rushing for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Hurts also managed to come in second in the voting for NFL MVP, losing to Patrick Mahomes.
He is proving to be the right man for the job under center for Philadelphia in the foreseeable future.
