Nick Chubb Injury Update: Browns RB suffers scary knee injury, sports world sends its prayers

During Monday Night Football’s second quarter, the Cleveland Browns faced a setback as running back Nick Chubb endured a concerning injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The former Georgia running back was carted off the field owning to a gruesome hit on the knee. Although ESPN refrained from showing the replay, the broadcasters mentioned that it was a troubling play.

The Pittsburgh fans showed their support by chanting “Chubb” as he was being taken off the field.

At the time of the injury, Chubb had amassed 64 yards on 10 carries. In the year 2022, Chubb displayed an incredible performance, amassing a total of 1,525 yards through his swift and skilful running, while also managing to secure an impressive 12 touchdowns.

ESPN later confirmed that Chubb had indeed sustained a knee injury and would not return for the rest of the game.

LeBron James, a native of Northeast Ohio and a Browns fan, conveyed his best wishes to Chubb following the injury.

Chubb is undoubtedly one of the finest NFL running backs. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl four times and has an impressive average yards-per-rush attempt throughout his career. Despite having a strong roster overall, the Browns will still face significant challenges in his absence.

The replay footage of his injury was deemed so distressing that ESPN opted not to air it live. Even Joe Buck acknowledged the severity of the situation, stating, “I am told that the replay of Nick Chubb getting injured is not to be seen.”
