The Colorado Boulders fans are not a happy bunch after star cornerback Travis Hunter took a savage blow from derby rivals the Colorado Rams defensive back Henry Blackburn.
Hunter is more philosophical, even comical, appearing in a live feed on social media dressed in a giraffe onesie.
The Boulders continued their fine start to the season going 3-0 but head coach Deion Sanders is certain Hunter will miss the important upcoming games against USC and Oregon State, and potentially the Arizona State game as well.
"I know Travis [Hunter] like a book, he probably is going to want to be out for two weeks, but we’ve got to make sure his health is more important than this game," Sanders said after the game.
Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell and Athletic Director Joe Parker have revealed that Blackburn has received death threats after his late and dangerous tackle on Hunter.
Parker said that following the game both Blackburn and his mother’s mobile numbers were shared online, and both have been receiving numerous death threats and threatening calls.

"I’m very concerned for our kids. There’s really no place for that in athletics and sports, Norvell told reporters.
Blackburn’s address has also been shared online, and local police have been called to investigate.
Hunter took the dangerous hit in the first quarter of his team’s 43-35 double overtime win against their neighbors, this after QB Shedeur Sanders threw a pass to Hunter down the left field.
"That’s certainly not something we teach or coach," Norvell said of the hit.
Hunter said, "It’s football, you just have to get up and fight again."
