Julian Newman and Gio Wise are two of the most famous basketball players who don’t play in the NBA. Newman began to go viral on YouTube in 2012 for his insane basketball highlight mixtapes when he was only in fifth grade. Wise is a basketball influencer who went viral on TikTok thanks to his incredible ball-handling ability.

Both players were the stars of the show at the Ball Dawgs Celebrity Game. Fans were excited to see the two match up with one another and they both knew it, as seen by both players doing a little showboating and trying to bounce the ball off each other’s heads.
Newman showcased his quickness with the ball in his hands when guarded by Wise. After a quick hesitation and crossover, he was able to create space and get to the paint for a floater that Wise was able to stay in front of and contest. However, Newman missed the shot then it became Wise’s turn to entertain the crowd.
The crowd was energized and cheering on Wise in excitement to see how he would respond. He followed it up with an array of dribble moves before ultimately settling for a long three-point shot that didn’t even hit the rim.
Wise has over 800,000 followers on TikTok while Newman has 669,000 followers on Instagram. Neither player was able to get the best of the other in their one-on-one clash, but hopefully, there will be more opportunities to see them faceoff in the future.
