“I share their passion. We all do” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin answers fans boos and jeers

The Steelers managed to see off the Browns in a tough 26-22 win in week 2 but this did not stop their fans chanting for the dismissal of Offensive Coordinator Matt Canda.

If the Steelers win, and one of their coaches still get the ‘fire him’ imagine what will happen when they lose two on the bounce.

"I appreciate their passion. I share their passion," said head coach Mike Tomlin.

"Man, we don’t run from challenges. It is our job to win and thus entertain them," he added.

The Steelers are 1-1 this season after an opening day defeat to the 49ers, who admittedly look like title contenders.

The Ravens top the AFC North with back-to-back wins, and the Pittsburgh fans should be happy with the narrow win against the Browns.

Imagine the poor Bengals fans, with the team 0 from 2 already.

"We want them [supporters] to be fat and sassy and spoiled. It is our job," said Tomlin.

Admittedly the Steelers were poor on attack, with RB Najee Harris and receiver George Pickens off their A-game.

Well, Pickens was a tad starved of the ball, but redeemed Canada somewhat with a 71-yard catch and run for a TD.

But even that was not enough for the Pittsburgh fans who were calling for his head on a platter in the fourth quarter.

The mandate should be simple. Give the ball to Pickens and get QB Kenny Pickett in on the gameplan.

Tomlin has seen it all, and has never had a losing season, so poor Canada was picked out as being sluggish and offkey.

The Steelers are away to the Raiders in week 3 and that will give the Offensive Coordinator some breathing space, but he better come back with a win, and a classy one at that.
