Watch: Super Dad Makes Stunning One-Handed Catch While Holding Baby at Braves vs Phillies Game

The catch of the MLB season does not belong to any dugout, but rather a father in the bleachers, as the Super Dad made a stunning one-handed catch, while holding his baby across his chest.

The grab, put baby down and release is probably one of the plays of the season and took place in the Braves vs Phillies game. The ‘Brave’ fan caught a sizzling home run by Phillies’ Nick Castellanos in the second inning. Castellanos used to ply his trade for the Reds but is now a Braves star.

The dad must have been strutting for the rest of the game, after his grab was potentially also a lifesaver, with another young fan in the firing line. The superhero set social media alight, earning the name, “Super Dad.”

The Braves have already qualified for the playoffs while Castellano’s fine form (27 home runs this season) allowed the Philadelphia team to almost cement second spot in the NL East Division with a nail biting 6-5 win.

The result was hardly as consequential for the unnamed Dad, as his heroics did not go unnoticed. Maybe the Braves and the Phillies should have him come deliver the next opening pitch at one of their games.
