In a candid revelation on the Pat McAfee Show, Philadelphia Eagles football center Jason Kelce opened up about his wife’s reluctance to embrace the spotlight.
Jason’s remark comes in light of the release of his documentary, “KELCE,” on September 12.
Jason Kelce offered praise for his wife, Kylie, who takes center stage in the “Kelce” documentary.
He remarked, “My wife has been in hiding for a long time. I think one of the best things about the documentary is that everybody got to see everything she does and everything she goes through — and the tremendous person and wife that she is.”
However, he also acknowledged that Kylie Kelce is not one to actively seek the spotlight.
“I don’t know if she is happy or upset about it,” Kelce admitted. “She is not the type of person that likes the spotlight or seeks that out. But I think it’s awesome the amount of reception she’s gotten, and the amount of other wives, the people, the moms out there that have been able to relate with her, and I think a lot of people saw that.”
Jason Kelce’s comments come in the midst of an online discussion sparked by a viral Reddit post where NFL fans compared Kylie Kelce to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes.
A Reddit user wrote:
“Anyone else watch the Kelce doc on Amazon? Kylie Kelce (Jason’s wife) was so down to earth and I honestly loved her in it. Total opposite of Britt,” drawing attention to the contrasting public personas of the two NFL wives.
And, the other Reddit users jumped to follow suit.
Besides, Pat McAfee himself declared Jason and Kylie Kelce to be “a celebrity power couple” on the talk show.
Kylie Kelce emerges as a star in her own right in the documentary. “Kelce” delves into her experiences in motherhood and the unique challenges of being the wife of an NFL star.
Jason Kelce’s journey with Kylie began when they met on an online dating app, culminating in their marriage on April 14, 2018.
The couple welcomed their first two daughters in October 2019 and March 2021, respectively. Their third child arrived in February 2023, with Kylie being 38 weeks pregnant on Super Bowl Sunday for Super Bowl LVII.
