On Wednesday, TikTok sensation Alix Earle made a special appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and set the record straight regarding her alleged involvement in the messy breakup between Miami Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios and his ex-girlfriend, Sophia Culpo.
The TikTok star also expressed her initial belief that Berrios would repeat his infidelity pattern with her if he had indeed cheated on Sophia Culpo.
Firstly, Alix Earle vehemently denied any wrongdoing and pinned the blame squarely on Sophia Culpo.
According to Earle, rumors of infidelity started circulating when Culpo herself began posting cryptic hints about relationship troubles on social media, coinciding with Earle being seen with Berrios. This led to a frenzy of accusations directed at Earle.
“I was like, ‘There’s just no f–king way this happened,'” Alix explained, recounting her initial reaction to the allegations.
She further revealed her persistent efforts to seek “receipts” from Berrios, even dubbing herself “more psycho” than his ex-girlfriend (Sophia Culpo).
“I was checking everything. We have probably been over this 110 times because I was like, ‘If you did that to a person, obviously of course, you’ll probably do that to me, too.'”
Alix Earle’s comments come after Braxton Berrios broke his silence on the cheating fiasco in June 2023.
In an Instagram Story, Berrios adamantly refuted all claims of infidelity, stating:
“I don’t want to start anything, I don’t want to fuel anything. I genuinely want all this to be over and everybody to move on and do whatever makes them happy.”
Berrios continued by asserting that the breakup with Sophia Culpo had nothing to do with third parties and that they simply “didn’t work out.”
He admitted that sharing his private life publicly was uncharacteristic but felt compelled to address the situation.
This revelation from Berrios came after Sophia Culpo posted a now-deleted TikTok post that seemed to indirectly reference her ex-boyfriend and his rumored involvement with Alix Earle.
The post by Culpo had the caption:
“Give it a few but call me when the love bombing ends. I gotchu.”
After Berrios opened up about the allegations, Culpo later addressed the situation on Instagram, downplaying the controversy surrounding her TikTok post.
“I’m sorry the internet has their panties in a wad. It wasn’t that deep,” she said. “It really wasn’t that deep. I’m literally getting texts from my friends like, ‘I’m thinking of you, are you doing okay?’ I’m good. I’m good. The internet is wild, but we’re good.”
Despite Berrios’ statement, Alix Earle remains resolute in her stance, refusing to let accusations of being a “homewrecker” tarnish her.
On the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Earle also highlighted the hurtful nature of being labeled a “mistress” and revealed that she was brought to tears after reading negative comments on social media.
Berrios and Earle’s romance, which had been brewing for some time, was revealed after the duo turned up at the 2023 ESPYS.
However, as per Page Six, Earle has now officially clarified that she and the NFL player are not in an exclusive relationship.
