Brusdar Graterol, Dodgers relief pitcher, and his mother experience one of the most memorable nights at the Dodgers stadium.

After seven years of being apart, Graterol’s mother Ysmalia attended to his son pitch in the MLB for the first time on Tuesday.

The reunion on Tuesday saw the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers, Graterol went out and pitched one perfect inning as his mom watched.

The Los Angeles Dodgers posted on Twitter, they wrote,

“What a moment!”

“After seven years apart living in Venezuela, Brusdar’s mother watched her son pitch for the first time as a Major Leaguer.”

In the post-game interview, Graterol said the documentation of bringing his mother to the US was finally final in recent weeks after receiving an important document.

He also expresses his emotional feeling after the game, he said,

“It was so incredible. I’ve always wanted to pitch in front of my mom. Being so successful as I’ve been pitching lately, it was so emotional and nice to have her here.”

As per the Associated Press, Graterol said he had been working all he could to bring his mother to the U.S. for a long time.

Following this, after the game, he added,

“We never really gave up on any situation, and luckily we found a way to get her to the United States.”

In the end, his mom Ysmalia finally was able to watch Graterol pitch some more down the stretch, as he is in the middle of an excellent season.
