The 2023 college football season has been buzzing with excitement, particularly centered around the University of Colorado, and for good reason. The program had a really bad year last year, but they’ve made some big changes and now they’re off to an amazing 3-0 start this season. ESPN reports that several NCAA scouts and coaches are skeptical about the Buffaloes’ chances against stronger opponents in their next matchup.

Several coaches and scouts were consulted by ESPN’s Pete Thamel to get their insights on the forthcoming clash between Deion Sanders’ Colorado team and the Oregon Ducks. The consensus prediction among these experts is a “lopsided loss” for Colorado.
One opposing assistant coach commented, “I think Oregon is going to boat race them.” He emphasized the physical disparity, stating, “Oregon is different upfront. There’s a lot of bark, not much bite to Colorado. When they run into the bigger dogs in the Pac-12, it’s going to come to an end.”

In his first year at the helm, Deion Sanders has guided Colorado to a 3-0 record, with wins against TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State. They have emerged victorious against TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State. However, their next challenge is formidable, especially as they’ll be without star wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter due to injury.
1. Deion Sanders has never coached a losing season.
2. Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders is 26-3 as a starter in CFB.
3. But folks project CU to win just three games.
4. Coach Prime's Buffs are 3-0.

The 10th-ranked Oregon Ducks have demonstrated their strength, ranking second nationally in rushing yards per carry over the first three games, even without quarterback Bo Nix relying heavily on his running abilities as he did in the previous season. While there are concerns about Oregon’s run defense, Colorado may not possess the tools or strategy to exploit these weaknesses. Conversely, the Ducks are expected to capitalize on Colorado’s 121st-ranked run defense.
Oregon enters the game as heavy favourites, with a three-score advantage. The outcome of this matchup will soon reveal whether Colorado can continue to prove the doubters wrong.
