Taylor Rapp, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, was penalised $9,611 by the NFL for unwarranted treatment last Sunday after hitting Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams when the latter was undefended.
The incident in question happened just over three minutes into the Bills’ 38-10 victory at home. Jimmy Garoppolo, the Raiders’ quarterback, lofted a pass deep over the middle to Adams, who was instantly surrounded by three Bills players.
Rapp struck Adams’ helmet on the left side and the other two players were on Adams as well.
"Maybe if that man learns how to play the game the right way…he won't have to live off of plays like that."

According to ESPN, regarding this Taylor Rapp said, “Was it unnecessary? Completely, obviously,” Adams said. “But certain players play a certain way, too. Some people, out of control. They fly around. They don’t really have much true purpose out there. I mean, playing a half field on one side, you run over and hit somebody in the head on the other side of the field.
“That’s the kind of stuff that contributes to you not being on the field. That’s why you’re in when you’re blowing us out by 25 at the end of the game. Maybe if that man learns how to play the game the right way, he’ll see the field. Until then, he’ll have to go and live off of plays like that, I guess.”
Adams returned to practice on Wednesday after undergoing a concussion evaluation.
He should be ready to go for the Las Vegas Raiders’ upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night at home.
