Bart Scott, the former linebacker of the New York Jets has received criticism from Donovan Mitchell for the recent remarks he made on ESPN’s First Take.

Following Trevon Diggs’ season-ending ACL injury for the Dallas Cowboys, former NFL player Bart Scott struck a disrespectful chord with many. He claimed on air that the Cowboys always suffer setbacks in response to Diggs’ ailment.

The insensitive remarks by the former player, Bart Scott who himself was an athlete have shocked many people.

According to Clutchpoints, he said, “This is a major, major blow for Dallas, and like Stephen A. always says, ‘Just wait, something bad always happens.”

The former Pittsburgh Steelers player, Ryan Clark abruptly halted Scott in his tracks, shaking his head in humiliation and sternly admonishing him, “Don’t start that”.

Stephen A. Smith was aware that Scott had also gone too far and said, “No, no, no, no, no. First of all, I wouldn’t do that right now, in all seriousness,”

“This is a season-ending injury, so I’m certainly not gonna joke about that with Trevon Diggs, my brother.”

Scott’s expression shows his immediate humiliation. A few hours later, Donovan Mitchell struck Scott on Twitter, making clear reference to that code of conduct for professional athletes.

In the course of Thursday’s Cowboys practice, the two-time Pro Bowler Trevon Diggs suffered a knee injury that will terminate his season.
