Former Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Alan Williams recently stepped down from his position, citing the need to take care of his health and family. However, seems like there is more to the story.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on “Sunday NFL Countdown”, Williams did not resign over criminal activity, but there was some inappropriate activity involved, leading the Bears’ human resources department to get involved.

Reports have also mentioned a forensic vehicle being parked outside the Bears’ facility on the day of Williams’ resignation.
Well, before his resignation, Williams’ house was reportedly raided by the FBI, although the exact nature of the investigation remains unclear.
Before his coaching career, Williams played as a running back at William & Mary, alongside notable NFL figures Mike Tomlin and Sean McDermott.
He entered the NFL coaching scene in 2001 and had been the Bears’ defensive coordinator for his second season. Before that, Williams served as the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings from 2012 to 2013.
