Saints quarterback Derek Carr was ruled out from the game with a right shoulder injury and eventually sent to a local hospital for further testing.
Following the Saint’s first loss of the season on Sunday against the Packers, Carr injured his right shoulder in the third quarter.
According to coach Dennis Allen, he said,
“They’re doing an evaluation, I think it’s X-rays, I can’t tell you really any more than that. When we know what it is, we’ll let you know.”
As per the updates, Carr seems to have suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder but seemed to have avoided serious injury.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported citing a source added that after a series of tests, there was no additional damage found in Carr’s throwing shoulder.
According to Rapoport as it is possible that he could still miss some time, it does not seem to be a season-ending situation for the Saints’ signal-caller.
After Carr’s injury, he was initially listed as questionable to return but later he was listed as ruled out.
Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed also reviewed the injury after the game. He said,
“Just to see him on the ground not wanting to move, of course, that was alarming to see,”
He also added,
“We know he’s going to be alright, he’s a tough guy.”
“He’s a warrior. We’re all behind him no matter what.”
Saints tight end Juwan Johnson also weighed in on the severity of the unfortunate injury, he opines,
“He got slammed pretty good, You could just tell.”
Carr is undergoing more testing at the Green Bay hospital the biggest update as of now is the injury isn’t a season-ender, but he could miss time.
Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill will take over while he’s out.
