The Bears faced a rough week leading up to their game against the Chiefs in Kansas City.
Defensive coordinator Alan Williams unexpectedly resigned, quarterback Justin Fields made controversial comments, and over $100,000 worth of equipment was stolen from Soldier Field.
It was hoped that a win would help put these issues to rest, but unfortunately, the Bears fell behind 41-0 and ultimately lost 41-10, bringing their season record to 0-3.
Following the game, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus emphasized the importance of solidarity within the team and blocking out external distractions. He acknowledged that the coaching staff needs to take responsibility and find ways to improve the team’s performance.
“I would just say that everybody’s got to take a hard look at what they’re doing, in terms of the schemes we’re running, what we’re doing,” Eberflus said. “We’re charged with putting our players in the best position to execute, and that’s what the coach does. And develop the players at the same time. We just got to do a better job. It’s also on the players because it is a partnership, both of us together. The execution, the product on the field is always player and coach.”

Nevertheless, there is a silver lining for the Bears. In Week Four, they will face the 0-3 Broncos, who suffered a devastating 70-20 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
This means that one team will have the opportunity to regain some confidence and momentum when the final whistle blows at Soldier Field next weekend.
