This remarkable accomplishment was achieved during the Chiefs’ dominating 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears.
Patrick Mahomes expressed his excitement and gratitude for the honor of becoming the fastest QB to reach such an impressive milestone.
“It really is cool,” Mahomes said. “It’s a tremendous honor to be a part of this organization and be able to do stuff like that at this stadium. It’ll be stuff I remember the rest of my life.”
Mahomes’ achievement did not come as a surprise, as he delivered yet another outstanding performance against the Bears. He completed 24-of-33 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns and His passer rating for the game was an impressive 127.3.
What sets Mahomes’ 25,000 passing yards apart is the relatively short amount of time he has been in the NFL.
Despite being drafted as the No. 10 overall pick in the 2017 draft, Mahomes didn’t see game action until the final regular-season game of his rookie season.
His rapid development and immense talent have allowed him to achieve this historic milestone in just 83 regular-season games.
