The Texans pulled off a sensational 37-17 away win at the Jaguars in a lop-sided NFL week 3 game with rookie QB C.J. Stroud prominent in the victory.
This was the Texans first win of the new season, while the Jaguars are also 1-2 in the AFC South Division.
The Houston team entertain the Steelers in week 4 and will be looking for momentum and a little hot streak.
Quarterback Stroud made history with his 121 pass attempts in three games yielding zero interceptions.
He has also posted the third most points after three games (906) since 1970, with only Cam Newton (1,012) and Justin Herbert (931) ahead of him in this statistic.
Texans tight end Brevin Jordan said after the game, “We drafted the right guy. Man, he"s a leader. he"s a phenomenal player and a phenomenal guy with God-given talent. Dude, he"s unbelievable".
Head coach De Meco Ryans agreed with his TE, saying, “We have a good one who"s done really good things. That"s what I really like and admire about C.J. [Strouds]".
Stroud came out of Ohio State and was drafted as the second overall pick and will be looking to cement a terrific rookie season, and potentially build a dynasty at the Texans.
His coach, fellow players and pundits agree with the assessment.
