Watch: Angels Mike Trout leaves game after injury, Placed on 60-Day IL, Season Over

Phil Nevin has recently confirmed that the season is concluded for the Los Angeles Angels player Mike Trout. The Angels are yet to play seven games and the star Trout will not be participating in any of them.

The Angels have placed the three-time AL MVP on the 60-day injury list. Thus, the likelihood of a comeback for the current season, which concludes in a week, is ruled out.

Trout has been on a 10-day injured list since July. He was injured when the Angels were playing against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He was injured once again when he was playing against the San Diego Padres. He was swinging off a ball when he accidentally broke his hamate bone.

The strength of the hand and wrist, as well as the amount of power a batter can generate when swinging, are both influenced by the hamate, a little bone in the wrist.

Trout returned about seven weeks after his wrist surgery, but it might take months or even a year to fully recover one’s strength and power stroke.

Trout’s hand injury does not appear to have contributed to his transition from the 10-day IL to the 60-day IL.

Trout continues to have the best ability to reach base. His .367 on-base percentage is higher than the .320 league average at the moment.

The Angels needed to make room on the 40-man roster for pitcher Carson Fulmer, so Trout was compelled to go on the long-term injured list. It’s believed that he will be fully recovered by spring training in 2024.
