The network will also close its Los Angeles production facility. It will either relocate its employees back east or allow them to work remotely. They will move to a new building, 7 Hudson Square.
In the spring of 2018, ESPN relocated into the Seaport studio. The business at the time agreed to what was known as a multi-year lease. According to Awful Announcing, several ESPN studio shows have been broadcast from the Seaport studio over the years, including Get Up and First Take.
With Alex Rodriguez’s new contract with Fox Sports, the Sunday Night Baseball KayRod Cast will no longer be produced in the Seaport studio after the 2023 season. Sunday NFL Countdown, NBA Countdown, and Around the Horn are also done from the Seaport Studio. When the lease ends, it makes sense to leave the Seaport studio.
