On ESPN’s “The Michael Kay Show” New York Jets legend Joe Namath didn’t hold back and ripped the Jets starting quarterback Zach Wilson.
Hall of Famer Joe Namath on Monday mirrored the angry fans and criticized Wilson in a radio interview, while also at Saleh and Joe Douglas.
He said on ESPN New York radio to Wilson’s performance on Sunday.
“I didn’t take anything positive out of it. It was awful.”

While speaking particularly on Wilson’s performance on “The Michael Kay Show.” He said,
“I don’t believe in him, I don’t believe he has a future as a good player, and I think they made the wrong choice when they drafted him, I feel that way.”
The rant is a follow-up to Wilson’s first sack in Sunday’s 15-10 loss to the Patriots, when he went down without being touched.
Namath also said he’d trade Wilson,
“I wouldn’t keep him. I’ve seen enough of Zach Wilson.”
The Hall of Famer also picks a bone with Joe Douglas, the general manager of the New York Jets, and the coach Robert Saleh. He vented saying,
“These guys aren’t picking the right players. They aren’t doing a good job of coaching.”
He also added,
“They need to make major changes, from top to bottom.”
Namath is a Hall of Famer who won two MVP awards and led New York to its only Super Bowl title in team history in 1968.
