Rams head coach Sean McVay introspective after week 3 loss to the Bengals

Rams head coach Sean McVay was not happy with his team’s performance against the Bengals with the LA team losing out to the Cincinati side 19-16.

McVay believes the Rams were the architects of their own doom, as they go 1-2 heading into week 4.

“There (were) just a lot of self-inflicted wounds,” McVay told reporters on Monday.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford did not have the best game, throwing for 18-33 and two interceptions, while Bengals running back Joe Mixon was allowed 19 carries for a game high 65 yards and one TD.

The Rams next take on the Colts away from home and will look to improve their third place standing in the NFC West Division, trailing table-topping 49ers (3-0) and the Seahawks (2-1).

McVay believes his team should have beaten the Bengals and will be focussing on keeping the ball, making plays count and taking the game to the Colts.
