Taylor Swift may be the biggest thing to happen to the NFL since Janet Jackson, but many analysts believe she was too enthusiastic in her support of new beau Travis Kelce.
The Kansa City Chiefs star just scored one of his most boring touchdowns of an illustrious career, but Swift’s reaction was priceless.
Dan Le Batard had plenty to say, “You may have heard: Taylor Swift attended a football game yesterday,” he said on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on Monday. “It was wildly overcovered. She wildly overreacted to the least interesting touchdown of Travis Kelce’s career. She is an awkward clapper.”
The Chiefs, defending Superbowl champions went 2-1 with a thumping 41-10 win over the winless Bears in week 3, with Kelce recording a game high seven receptions, 69 yards and ahem ‘the touchdown which launched a thousand lips’.
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was the game MVP, with 24-33, 272 yards and three TD’s but all attention was on Kelce and Swift.
The All-Pro tight end was famous before his new dalliance, and that is only set to increase. This may be good for Chiefs revenue in increased exposure, but could it ruin Kelce’s game.
The pair broke the web in a viral video which showed Swift wearing a Chiefs jacket around her waist and Kelce a matching blue and white patterned jacket and pants.
