Colorado Buffaloes cornerback Cormani McClain was Sanders’ first class at Colorado’s high school.
On 247Sports, he was the 14th-ranked recruit overall and the top-ranked cornerback in the 2023 class. As per Outkick.
It was anticipated that he would spot the pitch right away. He’s not playing all that much, and it seems like he’s the only one to blame.

When asked about McClain’s incredibly scant playing time on Tuesday, the head coach of Colorado didn’t mince words at all.
Coach “Prime Time” Sanders clearly expressed himself and said, “Study and prepare. Be on time for meetings, show up to the darn meetings. Understand what we’re doing as a scheme. Want to play this game. Desire to play this game.”
“Desire to be the best at this game at practice, in the film room and on your own free time. You do know I check film time from each player up on the week. Thursday, I need film time from the whole staff so I can see who’s preparing. And that’s just not about Cormani. It’s about a multitude of them. So, if I don’t see that you would be a fool to put somebody out there who’s unprepared.”

McClain’s commitment to the game doesn’t appear to impress Deion Sanders in the least.
Despite the high standards that were set for him, he only made one single tackle in the season’s first four games.
Former top-15 American recruit Cormani McClain is unable to see the Colorado pitch.
He doesn’t appear to watch films or go to meetings, and he lacks the passionate fervour and determination that coach Deion Sanders is looking for.
The Buffaloes lost to Oregon Ducks 42-6 last weekend and are now 3-1 in the season.
However, on Saturday, September 30, they will host No. 8 USC Trojans Football. With this game, Coach Prime and company will face another test of talent.
