Singing and songwriting sensation Taylor Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs game versus the Chicago Bears created a tidal wave. For those wondering why Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium was such a big deal, it is because she has reportedly been dating Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce, a high-profile athlete in his own right, publicly took his shot on his New Heights podcast series when he made it known he was interested in giving Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert.
After failing to meet Swift during her show, Kelce invited her to Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs play. Swift took Kelce up on the offer, sitting next to his mother, Donna Kelce, during the game. Swift’s appearance created a frenzy for everyone at the stadium, including broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt.
“I don’t think any of us really necessarily thought she was going to come to our game, but then a couple of hours before the game we’re told, and it was like, ‘Holy ****, this is going to be awesome,’” Burkhardt told Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina.
