Lillard tweeted on Wednesday from his X account, he posted,
“Farewell out on @AppleMusic and @TIDAL now. I will hit the rest of the platforms soon, Empire for turning this around.”
Also known as Dame D.O.L.L.A., took to X to share his newest rap song, “Farewell.”
The athlete and musician drop the song with a song cover art featuring Lillard walking down a road, looking out toward a mountain.
The departure song came just 30 days after Lillard dropped his fifth studio album, Don D.O.L.L.A. under his rapper name Dame D.O.L.L.A.
The 15-track project also was contributed by A-list guest appearances from stars like Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and more.
Earlier, Lillard told Billboard,
“I just think the experience of being an NBA player just contributes to how I am able to stay creative as an artist.”

In his latest release, with plays for three minutes, Lillard seemingly turns some heads at his former franchise in the last verse. In the song, he rapped,
“I can never be replaced, they’ll know sooner than later. An arrow pointed at those who assumed it was greater. Amazing what I get in return for this labor. I continue leaving trails, but won’t be for the Blazers.”
The verse also included his fans,
“To the fans, man, I love you, it’s unconditional. The reasons for me leaving the city are nothing typical. So it’s imperative not to believe the narrative, just know that what I left is better than what I inherited.”
At the Milwaukee Bucks, he will now be paired with Giannis Antetokounmpo and expects to deliver the franchise its third championship and second since 2021.
