Speaking to the MLB Fits on Wednesday, the Atlanta Braves pitcher Spencer Strider landed the most bizarre take on sports, Strider said,

“There should be no fans.”

Apparently, Strider prefers no fans at sporting events like in 2020 the COVID-19 season, as it stands, for now, it is unclear if he was serious or not.

As he justified, having fans in the stadium makes the whole thing too loud, as he feels it was better when the stadiums were empty.

He suggested that the lower bowl seats should no longer be available and fans seated in the upper decks and in the outfield would be acceptable.

The unpopular sports opinion of no fans in the stands comes as he feels they should not be next to the dugout, he said,

“We know you’re watching”

In the interview at LoanDepot Park in Miami with MLB Fits, he said,

“Absolutely, there should be no fans”

“Get rid of the fans, it’s too loud. It’s too loud, everybody is quiet. We don’t need the cheering, we know you’re watching. I don’t need the fans.”

Strider was drafted in 2020 and didn’t make his debut until 2021, and it seems he preferred the stadium environment back in the 2020 MLB season.

He has managed to bring a lot of success in 2022, Strider finished second in the NL Rookie of the Year voting.

In the 2023 season Strider is having a great season, He’s 19-5 with a 3.81 ERA, a 1.07 WHIP, and an MLB-best 274 strikeouts in 181.2 innings.
