Deion Sanders, the Colorado football coach and former Hall of Fame cornerback, is not just known for his football career but also for his humorous quotes. After a tough 42-6 loss to No. 9 Oregon, which led to criticism and accusations of the Buffaloes being overrated, Sanders responded firmly:

“When I came out of the womb, I was booed,” Sanders quipped at a recent news conference. “I don’t take my time to respond and to defend myself. Why would I do that? I’m giving you a microphone if I’m doing it. I’m giving you solace that you’re in my life. I don’t care. I really don’t. I’m not new to this, I’m true to this and I keep going.”

Sanders, unfazed by detractors and haters, added:

“I don’t have a message to detractors or haters. I don’t take my time to respond or defend myself, why would I do that? I’m giving you a microphone if I do that … I don’t care, I really don’t. If it’s been that way my whole life, you would think I’m used to it. I’m not new to this, I’m true to this.”

In addition to this memorable “womb” line, Sanders has a collection of classic sayings, such as “people say there’s no ‘I’ in team. Well, there’s not. But there’s an ‘I’ in win” and “I’m married to football, baseball is my girlfriend.”
