The Indianapolis Colts have announced their plan to open the 21-day practice window for star running back Jonathan Taylor.
After undergoing surgery on his ankle and spending time on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, Taylor’s ankle has fully healed.
While the team is focused on getting him back on the field, trade rumors surrounding Taylor’s future persist.
Despite various sources indicating that multiple teams remain interested in trading for Taylor, there have been no recent trade talks between the Colts and other teams.

Jonathan Taylor, owed approximately $4.3 million in the last year of his rookie contract, has expressed his desire for a new deal.
While the Colts are open to addressing his contract situation, their immediate focus is on getting the reigning 2021 NFL rushing champion back on the practice field and ready for upcoming games.
Alongside their willingness to address Taylor’s contract, the Colts have stated that they are open to a trade if the right offer comes along.
However, the teams known to have made trade offers before the season, such as the Packers and the Dolphins, have not had recent discussions with the Colts regarding a potential trade for Taylor.
While Taylor’s impending return to the practice field is a positive development, it remains uncertain how things will progress thereafter. The Colts have until Week 8 to either move Taylor to the active roster or explore trade options.
