The superstar of the Phoenix Suns and two-time NBA champion, Durant, has made the decision to compete for another gold medal with the American side.
The NBA legend LeBron James has made it seem as though he will be in France alongside another legend, Stephen Curry, as the United States in an attempt to win another gold for U.S. soil.
Unfortunately, the U.S. team led by Steve Kerr could not get hold of the gold medal this year as they were defeated in the FIBA Basketball World Cup. In the concluding games, they suffered defeats at the hands of both the Germans and the Canadians.
The thirteen-time All-Star and 2014 NBA MVP Durant sat out of last month’s FIBA World Cup. He competed for the United States on the gold-winning Olympic squad in Tokyo in 2020.
At the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics, as well as the 2010 FIBA World Cup, Durant earned gold with the United States. He is also Team USA’s top scorer in Olympic history, which is another incredible feat achieved by the prominent NBA superstar.
