On Sunday, October 1, The Houston Astros had yet again secured their sixth American League West Division title in the past seven seasons.
The Astros clinched the title with a big, 8-1 win against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

The third baseman, Alex Bregman, dropped a bomb line for the fans, a word for doubters and critics, as the team celebrated the AL West division win.
He said,
“A lot of people were wondering what it was gonna be like if the ‘Stros didn’t win the division.”
Bregman turned to his teammates and said,
“I guess we’ll never know.”
The line is a reference to the Kanye West speech at the 2005 Grammys, which basically transcribes an answer when people refuse or won’t answer.
The iconic line from Kanye’s speech starts by saying,
“Everybody wanted to know what I would do if I didn’t win.”
With a moment of silence, he said,
“I guess we’ll never know.”
As a reference to this epic line, Bregman answers hilariously to what it was gonna be like if the ‘Stros didn’t win the division.
The Astros finished the AL West with 90 wins, and it is the third consecutive first-place finish for the Astros, and their sixth in the past seven seasons.
Previously, Sports Illustrated’s staff projected the Houston Astros to win the AL West with 96 wins.
Now the Astros will be looking for the divisional series with the winner of the AL wild-card matchup between the Twins and Blue Jays.
