After a disappointing loss to the Steelers and a narrow defeat against the Chargers, the Las Vegas Raiders find themselves in a precarious position.

Wide receiver Davante Adams and running back Josh Jacobs expressed their frustration with the team’s lack of discipline, citing it as a hindrance to establishing a winning culture.

Despite initially falling behind the Chargers with a deficit of 24-7, the Raiders showed determination by reducing the gap to just seven points.

However, their chances to tie or win the game in the fourth quarter were thwarted when rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell was intercepted near the end zone. The Chargers secured their victory with a 51-yard pass from Justin Herbert to Josh Palmer.

The game against the Chargers witnessed several frustrations for the Raiders. Jerry Tillery was ejected for a late hit on Herbert, and the team committed two turnovers and incurred nine penalties.

These incidents further highlighted the lack of discipline on the roster, leaving Jacobs and Adams frustrated.

“It’s undisciplined football” and this league is too competitive,” Jacobs said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. “It’s too competitive and it’s too many guys that’s good out there to not do the little things right every play. Until we figure that out, this is going to be what it is. It’s frustrating, man. And I mean, I feel like every day I go in there and work my ass off. So, eventually something’s got to give.”

As the Raiders plummet to a 1-3 record, it is clear that changes are necessary to break the cycle of costly mistakes.

Both Jacobs and Adams expressed their concerns about the team’s tendency to hurt themselves through errors and penalties.

To improve their standing in the league, the Raiders must address their discipline and commit to making necessary changes.
