Towards the end of what was a disappointing first half of an embarrassing Week 4 home loss for the New York Giants on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, brothers and former NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning decided to lighten the mood during their broadcast by cracking some jokes about American singer-songwriter sensation Taylor Swift and her attendance at MetLife Stadium to watch Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift and Kelce have apparently been spending time together after the latter publicly took his shot during an episode of his New Heights podcast series with his brother, Jason Kelce when he stated his desire to meet Swift during her The Eras Tour.
"Is Taylor Swift not at this game? I thought she goes to MetLife [Stadium] for all the New York games," former Giants Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning jokingly asked during their Manningcast television broadcast. "If she was at this game, she left," Eli’s brother and Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning responded.
Peyton [Manning] was hinting at the fact that even if Swift were to attend this game, the Giants poor performance and the game already seemingly being out of hand would’ve urged her to leave by the time Eli [Manning] had a chance to ask about her attendance. The Giants failed to score a touchdown in their 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, falling to a disappointing 1-3 through four games.
