Record Alert! Seahawks tied the franchise record for most number of sacks in blowout win over the New York Giants

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New York Giants with a score of 24-3 and the boisterous win marked an intense game that was the apex of the franchise.

The record-setting game was incredibly well played by the Seahawks.

According to the NFL, the Seahawks recorded eleven sacks and the New York Giants, quarterback, Daniel Jones, dealt with ten of them.

Seattle essentially had the game under control the entire time, especially on defence.

Of the 10 Jones sacks by the Seahawks, Witherspoon, Bobby Wagner, and Uchenna Nwosu each had two.

The head coach Pete Carroll, of the Seattle Seahawks shared his opinions after the game and stated, “This was a great night for (defensive coordinator) Clint (Hurtt) and the guys on defense,”

“The mixes and the changeups, the variety of ways that we came after them, we used everybody on the field just about, hitting the calls at the right time so the guys could create some explosive plays out of it. You’ve got to give Clint a ton of credit. Pass rush isn’t just the guys up front; everybody contributes to it. Coverage, and that’s where the backers play a role as well, and it was a great illustration of that tonight.”

The defensive strategy the Seahawks displayed that night has been commendable and they have garnered the love of the fans due to that, especially.

Bobby Wagner regarding the record-setting game, said, “I think we needed it,”

“I think each game defensively we’ve been getting better. We’ve been doing a good job stopping (the) run, but the one thing was just applying pressure. I think the last game, we had a lot of pressures but not as many sacks. I felt like this game, we turned those pressures into sacks.”
