Rookie Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon put on another defensive masterclass as the Seattle team came out if New York with an impressive 24-3 win against the Giants.
Witherspoon was signed as the fifth overall pick in the 2023 draft and is already showing dividends in only his third game.
He missed week 1 but has been an ever present in a rapidly improving Seahawks side.
Witherspoon told reporters after the game he watched Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, saying the defense knew he, “liked to stare down his next target.”

Jones will have to work on his poker face after Witherspoon picked him off and went 97 yards for a touchdown.
The TD came at a crucial stage of the game with the Giants threatening a comeback, with a score taking them to 10-14. Instead, they lost momentum and went on to concede another 10 points.
The CB finished the game with an incredible seven tackles, two sacks, one interception, one pass deflection and of course the almost 100-yard TD.
In the prior two games he was targeted 18 times and conceded only eight times.
This could be a pivotal as the Seattle team sit second in the NFC West, trailing only the unbeaten 49ers.
The former Illinois Fighting Illini football player could be in line for the NFL Rookie of the Season, and if he can keep those numbers on the up and up there will be no stopping the Consensus All-American.
