However, according to NBACentral, “Kyle Lowry expects to start for the Miami Heat at point guard this season”
For both of the previous seasons, Lowry has been a member of the Miami Heat.
The incredibly talented veteran player shot 40.4% last season while averaging 11.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
Given that his deal only has one year remaining to run, he will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
Lowry has played for the Miami Heat as well as the Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies. In 2019, he won the NBA Championship with the Toronto Raptors.
As per NBC Miami, the Miami Heat, head Coach Erik Spoelstra mentioned, “Having a team that you know is going to be one of those teams competing for a title. And we have one of those teams right now,”
