Breaking: James Harden Still with 76ers as Training Camp Begins, Knicks Not Interested in Trade

The training camp is here and the ten-time NBA All-Star James Harden is still with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The New York Knicks were allegedly intrigued as the 76ers looked for the ideal trade partner for Harden.

However, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, “The Knicks talked to the Sixers early on in this thing, but there’s no great motivation for the Knicks to do a one-year rental on James Harden,”

“Anybody who’s bringing Harden in, you’re really viewing this as a one-year rental.”

After choosing to exercise his player option to remain with the Philadelphia 76ers, Harden has requested a trade from the franchise this offseason.

The average of Harden with the Philadelphia 76ers last season was 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists. One of the most talented players to grace the NBA court, Harne turned up a strong performance. However, he was not picked an All-Star.

The current generational star was nominated to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team in 2021 and earned the Most Valuable Player award in 2018. He was also a six-time All-NBA First Team.

Harden was in the news for his trade talk but the trade was not able to solidify according to the concerned parties. Harden would contribute incredible success to any of the teams for which he eventually plays.
