Colts and Bills stars set for injury comebacks in coming week – Taylor and Von Miller set to return

According to media reports there is plenty of excitement across the NFL with long-term injury comebacks of two starring players and a quick turnaround from a starting QB.

The Colts will be easing RB Jonathan Taylor into their practice sessions while the Bills are prepping for the return of pass-rusher Von Miller in the near future.

The Colts are desperate for the return of their star running back Taylor, with the team in with a chance to pull clear if a hotly contested AFC South Division. All four teams have an identical 2-2 record.

Taylor is off the PUP list and could be in line to play against the Titans in week 5, though this may be too early.

The Colts have 21 days to evaluate the RB but head coach Shane Steichen is thrilled to have him back.

“He"s super excited to be back with his teammates, and I look forward to having him," Steichen said.

Taylor is reportedly unhappy with the team over contract talks but the only way he can prove his worth is on the field.

Steichen was asked if Taylor could be ready for Tennessee this weekend and said, “Could be, yes."

Steichen knows it could be a stretch to play him so soon after rehabbing from an ankle injury.

Conditioning-wise, obviously putting on the pads and practicing is a different deal. I know it"s been a long time since he"s played football, so we"ll see how practice goes this week, see where he is at physically from putting the pads on, and we"ll go from there."

The Bills are also close to allowing Von Miller back on active duty with their clash against the Jaguars in London looming. “I don"t know if the fans can expect to see me yet, but if I was a betting man I would say yeah, you can expect to see Von Miller in London," Miller said speaking in the third person.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Miller can return to training, taking him off the PUP list.

He has been out for almost a year after tearing his ACL last season.

“It"s still not a promise that I play in this game," Miller said.

“I want to play in this game. I gotta practice tomorrow and I only get one padded practice. So obviously I got out there and I [need to] look amazing with this padded practice," Miller added.

And in the latest news regarding Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is set to resume training today after suffering a bruised knee.

All in all, a good week for NFL fans.
