Justin Verlander’s wife and former Sports Illustrated supermodel, Kate Upton has returned to the Instagram, just as the Houston Astros secured their seventh consecutive playoff berth.
After a prolonged absence from Instagram, Upton wowed her fans with a glamorous update—three stunning ear piercings.
“Third time’s a charm,” she captioned her post, exuding happiness with her newly acquired triple ear piercing transformation by Maria Tash, a prestigious New York-based luxury piercing and fine jewelry brand.
Upton’s social media hiatus had left her followers wondering about her absence, with her last post dating back to July when her husband, Justin Verlander, was traded to the Houston Astros from the New York Mets.
The return of Kate Upton coincided with a significant milestone for the Astros.
The Houston Astros potentially defended their World Series championship on Saturday night, securing at least a Wild Card berth with a 1-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
However, the celebration within the visiting clubhouse at Chase Field was described as “muted,” as starting pitcher Justin Verlander characterized it.
Verlander, who threw five scoreless innings on Saturday, commented on the team’s performance, saying:
“Incredible. Going five innings is not what I consider a job well done. I’d like to have gone deeper in the game, but to hand it over to those guys and have them perform the way that they do… was huge. It makes it easier on us starters.”
In a matter of days, the Houston Astros will embark on their postseason journey once again, and fans couldn’t be more excited.
The stage is set for Game 1 of the American League Division Series (ALDS), scheduled for October 7th, and the Astros are eagerly waiting to see who their opponents will be: the Minnesota Twins or the Toronto Blue Jays.
One familiar face that fans are hoping to spot in the stands is none other than Kate Upton, the wife of Astros’ pitching ace, Justin Verlander.
Just like last year, where Kate Upton was a prominent presence in the crowd, MLB fans are eagerly anticipating her return to cheer on her husband and the Astros.
Interestingly, in August 2023, Kate Upton’s return to Houston had been making headlines of its own, even overshadowing the major trade that saw Justin Verlander coming back to Houston from New York Mets.
