The Miami Marlins were defeated by the Philadelphia Phillies and the score was 4-1. The Phillies now have the lead in the National League wild card series and wild card round.  

In the playoffs, the Philadelphia Phillies had earned the number 4 spot and performed incredibly well against the Miami Marlins. 

According to ESPN Stats and Info, “The Phillies had 9 players with a hit in tonight’s win. That is tied for their most in a playoff game in franchise history.”

The Phillies amassed 11 hits overall, with each starter collecting a hit. Trea Turner and Alec Bohm each added two, and Nick Castellanos had two doubles.

According to ESPN, Stats and Info, “Zack Wheeler has his 3rd playoff game with 6 IP and 0 or 1 run allowed. That is tied for 3rd-most in Phillies postseason history. Only Steve Carlton and Cole Hamels have more such games.”
