Royce Lewis, the rookie infielder for the Minnesota Twins, has achieved a record under his name. He became the third player in baseball history to hit a home run in both playoff games.

The Minnesota Twins defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, scoring 3-1. This win has given the Twins a lead in the Wild Card Series, the best of the three.
The Twins won largely due to outstanding pitching from Pablo Lopez and relievers, but they also benefited from Royce Lewis’ historic performance at the plate.
Lewis has concluded his year being on the injured list; however, he found himself on the roster. He took the spot as the hitter and completed two home runs.
While Lewis has spent much of his time in the game dealing with ailments, his hitting prowess is undeniable when he is well. He was a former top prospect who batted .309 this year, hit 15 home runs, and drove in 52 runs.
In 2023, Lewis was one of the Twins’ best offensive weapons, and he’s currently establishing it with a strong postseason performance.
