Star NFL tight end Travis Kelce has come forward to voice his concerns regarding the league’s excessive obsession with his rumored romance with global pop sensation Taylor Swift.
The NFL’s infatuation with the budding relationship has taken the NFL world by storm, but Kelce believes they might be taking it a bit too far.
It all began when Taylor Swift graced Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, attending the Chiefs versus Bears game amid her linkup rumors with Kelce.
The pop icon joined Travis Kelce’s family in a suite and was seen passionately supporting Kelce’s mother, Donna.
The result? NBC’s Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chiefs and the Jets saw its largest audience of the season to date, pulling in an impressive 27 million viewers across all platforms.
Travis Kelce’s No. 87 jersey sales also saw a significant boost.
Seizing the moment, the NFL embraced Taylor Swift’s presence with a series of attention-grabbing moves.
The league’s TikTok bio was swiftly changed to “Taylor was here,” and the Twitter profile picture transitioned from players to Swift herself, passionately cheering for the teams.

Even sportscasters got in on the action, using Swift’s lyrics to describe the players’ on-field moves.
It seemed like the NFL couldn’t get enough of Taylor Swift.
Just a week later, Taylor Swift made another appearance, attending the Chiefs versus Jets game at MetLife Stadium, this time accompanied by Hollywood pals including Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, Ryan Reynolds, and more.
Once again, the NFL changed their Instagram profile bio to ‘Chiefs are 2-0 as Swifties’ to reflect the pop superstar’s presence.
Wow: The #NFL removed “chiefs are 2-0 as swifties” from their bio.

However, not everyone is thrilled with the NFL’s relentless focus on Swift and the relationship rumors.
Fans are starting to grow weary of the constant coverage.
And now, it appears that even Travis Kelce himself has had enough.
During an episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce expressed his thoughts on the matter.
“They are overdoing it a bit for sure, especially my situation,” Kelce said when asked about the relentless media coverage. “They’re just trying to have fun with it.”
Kelce’s brother, Jason, chimed in, highlighting that the NFL might need to take a page out of the NBA’s book when it comes to dealing with celebrity sightings.
“Basketball has it figured out… You show them once, let them know they’re there, maybe after a touchdown, but you can’t go overboard with it. People are there to watch the game.”
In response to Travis Kelce’s comments, the NFL defended its actions, stating:
“We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally. The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real-time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”
