“He woke up to news that he had been moved,” Lauren Holiday after news Jrue has been tarded to the Celtics

A day can make all the difference in a basketball player’s career, just ask new Celtics player Jrue Holiday.

Yesterday he was ensconced, albeit under heavy trade rumors, with the Blazers, after spending three happy seasons with the Bucks, but now he is Boston bound.

He is looking forward to playing in front of the passionate Celtics faithful.

“They’re a bit crazy. Not gonna lie to you, they get rowdy. They get in your face… I love the aggression; I love the environment. I think they care about hard work on defense and getting loose balls and stuff like that over maybe windmill dunks and things of that nature,” said Holiday.

His wife Lauren was not as pleased taking to social media to say, “on Wednesday my husband took a nap. He woke up to news that he had been moved,” she said.

” I’m sharing this to say we are human beings with kids who have develop friendships with other kids in the community.

“We are people who value family and friendships and value and invest in the cities we live in.”

It is never personal it the NBA, it is always business and Holiday the player knows this, after spending 14 years in the league.

He won a ring in Milwaukee.

He enjoyed a decent if not spectacular season last time out averaging 19.3 points, 7.4 assists and 5.1 rebounds.

Despite being name in the NBA’s All Defensive First Team, the fifth time in his career he was still traded.

It’s never personal Lauren, it’s a professional business and trades are frequent.

Enjoy your time in Boston and build a new legacy we say.
