“I’ll get ejected if anyone hits Josh Allen like Jerry Tillery hit Justin Herbert” Bills LB Von Miller Vows to Defend His QB

There is a case to be made for the quarterback position in the NFL being the most important and valuable position in sports. As a result, the NFL has gone to great lengths to protect the quarterback to the best of their ability. Naturally, in a game that can be as physically taxing as NFL football, quarterbacks can be vulnerable and find themselves in dangerous situations.

With that said, last week was a prime example of how treacherous it can be to play quarterback in the NFL. During the Week 4 game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders, Raiders defensive tackle Jerry Tillery was penalized and ejected from the game for his late hit on Chargers franchise signal-caller Justin Herbert. Tensions were flaring and the entire Chargers team circled Tillery after the hit to express their frustration and defend their quarterback.

Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller discussed the matter on his VonCast podcast series and issued a warning to anyone who attempts to hit his quarterback, Josh Allen, in a similar fashion. "I’ll get ejected if anyone hits [Josh] Allen like [Jerry] Tillery hit [Justin] Herbert," Miller stated.

Miller has spent much of the last year rehabbing and recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last season and is poised to make his season debut in Week 5 when the Bills face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. With that said, he is prepared to handle anyone who puts his quarterback in danger.
