The eight-time NBA All-Star Paul George has reportedly been engaging in a contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to ClutchPoints, George and the Los Angeles Clippers are currently in discussion about a potential contract extension.

However, it does not appear that the two parties are close to reaching an understanding.

George also shared that he and the Clippers are currently in contract negotiations. As per Tomer Azarly of the ClutchPoints, George has announced, “It’s active, but both sides have to be on the same page and that’s just what we’re trying to figure out.”

The incredibly talented two-way player in the league Paul George is certainly someone the Los Angeles Clippers might want to hold onto. One of the best talents of the NBA, George has an average of 23.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game.

However, George’s long-term status with the Los Angeles Clippers is currently unknown. In the event that he chooses not to exercise his player option, he might be a free agent in 2024. As the player has above stated, it appears that the Los Angeles Clippers do want to keep the seasoned great.

The details of Paul George’s following contract extension will be intriguing to see. Although his talent is readily apparent, his durability is unquestionably a problem which has foreshadowed his career as well.

The player had his fair share of struggles with his health and during the last four seasons, he has played fewer games. In the 2022-23 season, George had played in 56 games and as he suffered a knee injury he missed a playoff series.
