The pitcher of the Texas Rangers, and two-time All-Star, Nathan Eovaldi, has delivered an incredible game, further helping Texas advance to a division series.  They will play against the Baltimore Orioles.

According to ESPN, Stats and Info, “Nathan Eovaldi is the 3rd pitcher in Rangers postseason history with 8+ strikeouts and 0 walks, joining Cliff Lee, who did it twice in the 2010 ALDS on the road at the Rays (11 K and 10 K).”

During this first season with the Texas Rangers, Nathan Eovaldi had a 2.38 ERA with his pitch. It was also through the first half of the season that he earned clinched his All-Star selection.

Unfortunately, due to a forearm strain, he struggled in July and after his return, he was still getting used to the form he as to maintain.

A big reason why the Rangers gave Eovaldi another contract of two years was his stellar postseason performance. He turned things around with a strong start, knocking the Rays offence.

Eovaldi had blasted through earlier in his career when he was with the Boston Red Sox. He has an ERA of 1.61. Boston has then signed with him for four more years. The 2021 year consisted of good performances from his side.

Now, recently he has once again outdone himself after recovering from injuries as he earlier had two Tommy John surgeries and a flexor tendon repair.
