Damian Lillard’s sudden departure from Portland will have Trailblazers and Milwaukee Bucks fans gossiping after reports emerged of a divorce from wife Kay’la emerged this week.
Tbe pair were college sweethearts, studying at Weber College in Utah.
Kay’la is an entrepreneur having launched her business Dipped Nails with friend Brittney Coleman, near Portland.
The pair field for divorce in 2022, a year after getting married at a star-studded event, citing irreconcilable differences.
The pair have three kids together.
She is worth an estimated $1 million to $5 million depending on who you ask.
This is money made separately from soon to be ex-wife husband Damian Lillard, who spent 11 years at the Trailblazers.
The pair started divorce proceedings last year, after being married since September 2021.
The seven-time NBA All-Star 2018 Al-NBA player and NBA Rookie of the Year (2013) was head over heels, recalling to Ebony Magazine, “The moment she started walking down the aisle towards me I felt even more overcome with love.”
Speaking after their 2020 engagement at the NBA All-Star game she said, “I knew Damian was the one once I realized he could handle my crazy attitude.”
She finished her studies in nursing before embarking on the business venture four years ago.
