SiriusXM radio sports personality Chris “Mad Dog” Russo has become known for his outspoken personality and knowledgeable sports opinions/analysis.

With that said, it is not shocking to see the “Mad Dog” speak up and speak out on certain topics such as the 2023 Ryder Cup. Russo sounded off about the recent performance of the US Team during the 2023 Ryder Cup tournament and didn’t hold back.

The US Team was defeated by Team Europe, allowing Europe to reclaim the throne as champions of the Ryder Cup.

The tournament took place at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, Italy, and the US Team was unable to bring the trophy with them back to the United States, which has become a recurring theme over the past few decades. 1993 was the last time the US Team won the Ryder Cup on foreign soil.

Russo was not happy with several factors that played into the US Team’s loss at the Ryder Cup. He criticized players such as Dustin Johnson for not participating in the event as well as team captain Zach Johnson for his poor play among other issues during his What Are You Mad About? Segment.

“You make $50 million a year! You know what? How about for a weekend, you play for your country,” Russo mentioned during his rant. Russo expects better from the US Team and has made it abundantly clear.
