Tyler Herro, the incredible guard for the Miami Heat, has recently stated that he has lofty ambitions for the 2023–24 NBA season.
“If you look around the league, I’m right there with every young guy that they say is the next thing or whatever it is… I know my value, I know I’m one of them ones and I don’t need to say it. I’ll show you.”

Herro wants to become a crucial part of Miami’s squad in the upcoming season after being the subject of trade reports that linked him to NBA All-Star Damian Lillard.
Herro had a standout 2021–22 season in which he averaged 20.1 points, 4.2 assists, and 5.4 rebounds. The first-round 13th overall pick was also named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2022.
Unluckily, he was unable to contribute during the Heat’s run to the Eastern Conference Finals due to an injury sustained in the 2023 playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks.
He is determined to establish his worth and secure his future with the Heat now that he has fully recovered.
Tyler Herro expressed his opinions and according to the Miami Herald, he said, “If you look around the league, I’m right there with every young guy that they say is the next thing or whatever it is… I know my value, I know I’m one of them ones and I don’t need to say it. I’ll show you.”
“Honestly, my goal this year is to get my name untouchable. That’s my goal. At the end of this season, they won’t want to trade me. That’s my goal.”
His tone exuded grit as he believed he had what it took to establish himself as a trustworthy player. Herro said he was present with the fresh faces that were anticipated to make a big impact on the forthcoming season.
Herro additionally mentioned that the Heat informed him the trade would not go through, during the Lillard controversy regarding the much-hyped trade.
